The RSL have been installing insulation at the stadium for several months now, and the work is well underway.
The club is currently working on a new ventilation system to the roof, which will be installed by the end of this month, and are currently in the process of finalising the construction of a new stadium roof.
The club will then move on to installing the new roof on the existing stadium, which is due to be finished by the middle of next year.
“The roof has been a major challenge for us because it’s a massive complex structure and is a new construction structure,” RSL manager David Gallop told reporters on Monday.
“When you look at the structure, you see that the roof is made up of three levels, and you have a big slab that you have to attach to the top level to make it look good.”
So when you see a roof being put up, it’s an absolutely fantastic job.
“There are a lot of pieces of work that go into it, so it’s been a really exciting couple of months.”
The new roof will replace the existing roof, a structure that was designed in the 1930s by a team of architects.
The new structure is expected to cost around $500,000 to build and is the first major structural change to the club’s home.
The RSL’s new home will be located in a building which has been designed by architect David Galloping.
“It’s been one of the toughest things for us,” Gallop said.
“But we’ve had some really positive conversations with the owners.
They’ve been very receptive to what we’re trying to do and we’re really confident that we can complete it.”
We’ve been working on it for a number of months, and it’s going to be a real challenge.
“Hopefully we can finish it in time for next season.”
And we know that it’s in a really good position to do a real good job, which I think is important.
“I think there’s a lot that’s happened that we’ve been able to take advantage of.”
Our stadium is a big, huge building and the structure we’ve put on it is a massive building and we know the structure is strong and we’ve done some really nice work.
“This is an opportunity to take our time and take advantage.”
“We’re confident we can make the most of this opportunity.”
